It went in stages. I basically knew after I had done my first ”big” part in a theatre piece when I was eight but at that point I had been putting up plays and been directing for a couple of years already. Forcing my friends to be a part of it… However as I got older I started to realize just how difficult a path acting is to pursue and I decided to take university classes instead. A year later I was miserable and I knew that I simply had to do whatever was in my power to become and actress.

…og hvad er du så blevet til ?

An actress…

Hvor finder du inspiration til dit arbejde?

Everywhere! Everyday! As a young girl I loved watching people and I was fascinated by their behavior and actions. Today I observe others, myself, the world, my dreams, animals, the past and literature to find answers to the way we as humans are acting. I always have an ear open on the subway and an observing eagle flying above me as I myself am going through something traumatic, exiting or sad to learn how feelings, pride, love and lost is uttered in the human body…
Hvad er kreativitet for dig ?

To feel every fiber of your body when involved in a project is a good guideline for me. If I feel exited, happy, alive I know I am creative. Creativity in the world is basically being open to new ideas and realizing your visions.

Always stay true to yourself. Remember that you can never be anything but yourself and whoever chooses to question you or fault you- listen, but never doubt yourself. My harshest experiences and downfalls have been when I have tried to change or alter who I am.
Try not to take anything personal. Remember that as long as people talk about you (good or bad) at least you know that you are interesting!

Also, stay professional in everything you do! I have made dire mistakes in my professionalism that I would undo in a second if I could. Keep a detailed journal where you take notes on everything from whom you contact to articles about books that will be filmed in the future.
Stay humble and remember that you are always portraying others! Their paths may look less exotic than yours but it’s their lives and dreams that are interesting, not your own reflection of them…

Trough my agency www.roofhangers.com or on my official website www.yohannaidha.com. Or on ImDB.
A fashion designer. I was accepted at a design school in Italy and choose between Acting school and design school. The love of Fashion is my weakness!

Google of course, fantastic resource for people like me who don’t know everything about everything.
Spotify! What a lovely Idea, can’t wait until the same thing is released for film!
Facebook! Great way to stay in contact with those you don’t want to piss off and everyone you would never call but still wants to follow and of course all the people you love and miss around the world…
My lovely free email account where I have listed everyone in the entire industry that I ever needed to contact…
And…naturally… my website…my narcissistic way of marketing myself to the world…
