Idag har vi besøg fra udlandet, eller nærmere betegnet en brite bosat i Spanien – derfor er blogpostet også på engelsk. Hendes navn er Suzanne Smith og  jeg mødte hende igennem et træningsprogram omkring social medier og web 2.0 som jeg lavede sammen med hende for Nokia for et halvt års tid siden. tell me what you do for a living ?

I’m the EMEA lead for Text 100’s social media practice.  That involves working with social media advocates in 11 countries around the region to develop social media strategies for our clients. (Text 100 is a global public relations consultancy)

what did you do before that ?

I set up and ran Text 100 Madrid’s office

why did you decide to work in this field?

I’ve been an Internet user since 1994 and I worked on Microsoft’s Internet campaign as far back as 1996 so working in the social media space was just a natural extension of that.

what is your secret talent?

Professional talent: Connecting people

Personal talent: Cooking curries!

if you should be doing something else, what would that be ?

Running a boutique hotel in the French Alps

what’s the best thing you have had influence on in your current job?

Encouraging people across the company globally to connect on an internal blog to share ideas, brainstorm and learn from each other

what is the next thing you’re gonna do to save the world ?

Blog about my personal efforts to be green

how do you deal with global warming in your household ?

We have 5 recycling bins (normal, paper, plastics, glass and compost), we grow vegetables in the garden, we have energy saving lightbulbs, double-glazing, insulation in the roof, minimal heating and I get the train to work.

who is the person you admire the most ?

Any working mother

what music can get you out on the dancefloor each time ?

I love 70`s funk, eg Sister Sledge
